Kapti collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no third party receives anything. Your cards are yours, they stay on your devices, and the developer cannot read them.

The rest of this page says the same thing in more detail, because a claim like that is worth being specific about.

Your cards

Everything you capture — the word, the translation, the example sentence, how well you remembered it — is stored on your device.

If iCloud is turned on for Kapti, that store is synced through your own private iCloud database. Only your Apple Account can reach it. It is not sent to any server the developer runs, and the developer has no way to read it. Turn iCloud off for Kapti and everything simply stays on the one device.

You can delete any card, any deck, or the whole app, at any time. Nothing is kept anywhere else.

Translation and speech

Both happen on your device.

Translation uses Apple's Translation framework, which downloads language packs to your device and works offline. Speech uses the voice built into iOS and macOS. Neither sends the text of your cards anywhere.

Buying the unlimited version

Purchases go through Apple's App Store. Apple tells the app whether a purchase happened; it does not tell the app who you are, and no payment details ever reach it. The developer never sees your name, your card, or your address.

Reminders

If you turn on study reminders, they are scheduled on your device by the system. No reminder passes through a server, and nothing about your study habits leaves the device.

Children

Kapti is suitable for any age and collects nothing from anyone, so there is nothing it could collect from a child either.

Changes

If this ever stops being true, this page changes before the behaviour does, and the date at the top changes with it.
